Welcome to the Urbanchek/Salo Swim Camp for 2005. Located on the beautiful 103 acre campus of Soka University in Aliso Viejo, California, this Swim Camp will rival any camp offered. Coach Jon Urbanchek and Coach Dave Salo, bring their successful coaching methods together, to create one of the most unique swim camps available.

Coach Urbanchek brings his wealth of experience as the Head Men's Coach at the University of Michigan and Club Wolverine where his teams won numerous Big Ten titles along with the 1995 NCAA Championships. Coach Urbanchek has earned NCAA Coach of the Year and ASCA Coach of the Year honors in his illustrious career, along with serving as Head Coach of the USA team in World Championship competition as well as serving on the USA Olympic Coaching Staff four times.

Coach Salo, a former swimmer for Urbanchek (CSU Long Beach), brings his style of coaching which has garnered him USA Swimming Coach of the Year honors, along with numerous USA National Team Championships and Junior National Team Championships. Coach Salo has served on two consecutive USA Olympic coaching staffs (2000-2004) and will serve as the Head Coach for the USA Men's World Championship team in 2005.

In 2004, Coach Urbanchek and Coach Salo combined to place 8 swimmers on the USA Olympic team. The list of swimmers that Coaches Urbanchek and Salo have mentored include Klete Keller, Jason Lezak, Aaron Peirsol, Peter Vanderkay, Amanda Beard, Lenny Krayzelburg, Dan Ketchum, Tom Malchow, Staciana Stitts, David Denniston and many other USA National Team members.

Imagine . . having your strokes evaluated by two of the top coaches in America.

Simply send in your videotape or CD and Coach Urbanchek and Coach Salo will analyze the video with the use of the Dartfish Video Analysis Program and you will recieve back a CD with detailed analysis and tips for improving your skill.

With a minimum of eight registered swimmers from the same team, we offer room and board for one accompanying coach. The accompanying coach will be rewarded with an opportunity to work with Coaches Urbanchek and Salo during the camp and take part in the evening coaches forum.
